第三人稱單數的句子

How many lamps does she have?

這裏講一下“do”這個字。 “do”在上面的句子裏是個助動詞，所謂助動詞就是幫助這個句子裏的動詞的詞。在句子裏沒有什麼意思。這些句子都是問句，“do”這個詞就能把敍述句便成問句。第三人稱單數就用does。

How many lamps does she have?

She has 15 lamps.

How may telephones does he have?

He has 2 telephones.

How many pens do you have?

I have 7 pens.

How many books do they have?

They have 22 books.

I don’t have any apples.

We don’t have any books.

They don’t have a pen.

You don’t have a lamp.

He doesn’t have any apples.

She doesn’t have any flowers.

Mike doesn’t have his book.

Jennifer doesn’t have my pen.

在這些否定句裏，在have 的前面用助動詞do not have, 在第三人稱單數的句子裏用does not have. 你可能會問，為什麼不是does not has 呢？因為助動詞does在這裏就已經符合第三人稱條件了。那麼don’t, 是do not 的縮寫，doesn’t 是does not 的縮寫.
