學看英語新聞：四川震災(二)

各位讀者好：

災難新聞中最常見到的一個字，就是這則新聞標題的devastate（重創）。另外在新聞英語中，標題有它特別的寫法，例如be動詞與冠詞一律省略，因此在標題中所看到的過去式其實不是過去式，而是過去分詞，be動詞被省略掉了。因此完整的本則新聞標題應該是：

Chinese schools were devastated by the earthquake.

Chinese state television showed rescue operations in Dujiangyan where some students were pulled out of the rubble.

But the school tragedy is not ending. In Hanwang county, rescue workers were pulling bodies out of another destroyed school. Over 200 students were buried.
