祕境(彩墨)

最近多玩一些墨,有時候也使用積墨或宿墨來處理,看看能不能作出一些不同的「墨韻」或肌理出來。

有人反對用積墨,說積墨就是「死墨」,既沒有光澤也畫不出層次來,更容易脫膠。希望使用墨條現磨現用,才能有清亮的墨韻及純墨的芳香出來。我倒認為「積墨」或「宿墨」都無妨,用「墨汁」也可以,不必訂死一個「規範」在那邊,不必拘泥。

把圖畫好比較重要。

Secret place/ink and color painting

Recently I used ink more often and sometimes processed with accumulated ink or left-over ink to see if different “ink rhyme” or texture can be made and found.

Some people oppose to using accumulated ink, say accumulated ink is “dead ink”, neither glossy nor gradation can be painted, easily be degummed. They prefer using ink stick, grinding it for immediately using, giving you a clear ink rhythm and pure ink aroma. I believe that it is all right to use both “accumulated ink” or “left-over ink” and even “liquid ink” is ok.  No need to set a “regulation” and to be more flexible.

To make a good painting is much more important than anything else.@
