【大紀元2011年06月28日訊】（大紀元記者曾誠編譯）法恩群島（The Farne Islands）是英國諾森伯蘭郡（Northumberland）外海的一組小島和礁石群。共有15至20個或更多的島嶼，數字取決於潮流情形，分為內、外兩組，分散在距英國本土海岸約2.5∼17.5公里處。法恩島嶼的平均最高點是海拔19公尺。其最鄰近的島嶼是班堡（Bamburgh），鄰近的海港是錫豪西斯（Seahouses）。
法恩群島被英國國家信託基金 （英國保護名勝古蹟的私人組織）闢為鳥類保護區。在溫暖的月份，群島是一個重要的野生動物棲息地，有約十萬對海鳥在島上繁殖，包括約36,000對海鸚、32,000對海鳩和2,000對北極燕鷗，以及夾心燕鷗、鸕鶿等。此外，約有6000隻灰海豹棲息在這裡，每年九月至十一月約有近1,500隻幼仔出生，法恩群島是歐洲最大的灰海豹棲息地。

長石島上的舊燈塔是維多利亞時代以海上救險聞名的女英雄達林（Grace Darling，1815 年11月24日- 1842年10月20日）的故居。
格雷斯的父親（William Darling）是燈塔看守者。她和老邁的父母一起生活在一個荒涼的法恩燈島上。1838年9月7日凌晨，她在樓上的窗口守望時發現了在附近的小岩石島旁一艘遭風暴擱淺、半沉的船（ SS Forfarshire）和其倖存者，由於天氣太惡劣，從班堡無法派出船隻救援，於是達林和她的父親決定冒著自己生命的危險，在大風浪中划船營救了9人的生命。
