雪下了有好一阵子了吧，远山、屋顶、岸滩，都积满了白雪。近处的江上有渔人在垂钓。

孤舟蓑笠翁 独钓寒江雪。

以前我读柳子厚这首诗时，对诗意不甚了了，雪怎么钓呢？而且渔人不事生计，跑到江上去钓雪干嘛？何况雪飘落江中不就立刻融化了吗？

长大了，才知道这是诗句的倒装：“寒江雪中独钓。”但不管渔人为了生计，忍受孤寂，在大雪纷飞的时候，仍须工作……。不管，此时此刻江中有人在垂钓，在事不关己的诗人看来，就充满了诗情画意。诗人信手拈来，已然成了千古名句。

Fishing Alone（独钓）

I didn't really understand the meaning when I first read this poem by Liu Zongyuan. How can he fish for snow? If he makes his living by fishing, why would he come out to fish in the snowy river? And wouldn't the snowflakes melt as soon as they touched the river?
I finally understood that the words in this poem are reversed after I grew up: "Fishing alone amidst the cold river snow." But regardless of whether the fisherman has to stand for lonesome working in the snow for the sake of his livelihood, and regardless of whether there was really someone out fishing on the river at that time, the self-absorbed poet was indeed full of poetic insights.
